I’m a search marketer based in Flagstaff, Arizona.

I’ve worked in SEO for 20 years.

I built Bare Bones SEO, a free WordPress SEO plugin.

I earned an MBA from Arizona State University in 2014 and a PhD in marketing from the University of Oregon in 2019, with an emphasis in statistics and consumer behavior. My research focused on p-hacking and replication failures in marketing science. Open MKT carries that work forward with a replication tracker, a retraction tracker, and a blog.

I live and work in Flagstaff, and I started Flagpreneur to connect local entrepreneurs with events and resources.

My wife is an entrepreneur, too. She owns QuilTak, the world’s best quilt basting system.
